Candidate Eligibility
Minimum requirement for consideration:

Have passed USMLE Step 1 and 2 or COMLEX Level 1 and 2.

Due to Vermont's licensing requirements, USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX Level 1 must have been passed after July 1, 2021.
Candidates should be U.S. Citizens, permanent residents, or J-1 visa holders with an ECFMG certificate.

Maple Mountain Vermont’s Application Review and Interview Process
We aim to attract resident applicants who are aligned with our mission to train family physicians to practice in less populated underserved areas. If you can see yourself making a life in Vermont then this is your residency. We will provide a holistic review of applications and seek those demonstrating sustained interest in continuity of care, teaching and mentoring, volunteer work, long term community engagement, geographic ties, and/or demonstrated core competencies in family medicine through rotation or practice experience. Each person will be reviewed as an individual and not prejudged based on arbitrary cut offs.
The above assessment takes careful consideration, so we will extend interviews one week after we receive a completed application. We will send out the first interview invitations on September 30th. If we extend an interview you will have 2 business days to accept or reject it. We have limited interview capacity, so please only accept our offer if you are interested in being a pioneer at our new program.
